CACOPD

This board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers in City Hall. The board consists of no more than 15 members. They will serve three (3) year terms. (Ocoee residents, owners of real property, owners of businesses - per CACOPD By-Laws)

OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the CACOPD are to:
  • Improve communication between citizens of the City of Ocoee and the Ocoee Police Department by use of various media outlets;
  • Increase involvement by the citizens and the police in community programs;
  • Assist with the interaction between the law enforcement and the community's youth through the DARE program and Great programs;
  • To foster understanding and cooperation between citizens and the police;
  • To acquaint citizens with the operation of the Ocoee Police Department and its varied activities;
  • To promote increased cooperation between the police and various organizations in the community;
  • To generate community interest and involvement in crime prevention, citizen disputes, and other areas of community relations.
