Beth Eikenberry, City Clerk
Beth began working for the City in September of 2004, after longtime City Clerk Jean Grafton retired.
Beth has an Associate of Science degree in Business. Formally Deputy City Clerk for the City of Oakland Park, Florida,
she has 23 years of city government experience. She originally worked in police and fire dispatching before changing
her career path to the City Clerk's Department. She completed coursework in the International Institute of Municipal
Clerks certification program and received the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk.
An important part of Beth's responsibilities as City Clerk is the safekeeping and preservation of documents,
finalizing documents and agreements in accordance with Commission action, as well as making these documents available
to city employees, elected officials, and the public. Her department also coordinates agendas and takes minutes for
the City Commission meetings in addition to several advisory boards. The City Clerk's Office supervises all municipal
elections pertaining to the Mayor and City Commission candidacy or amendments to the City Charter being considered.
One of Beth's objectives is to make more records accessible by computer to the staff and public. City Commission
agendas, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes are now available online for public viewing.
