ELECTRICAL SAFETY |
Each year thousands of people are injured or die from electrical
fires and electrical shocks or electrocution.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC),over 140,000 electrical home fires claimed over 500
lives, injured more than 5,000, and caused nearly $1.6 billion
in property damage each year. In addition, statistics from
OSHA show that each year 150 people will be electrocuted in the home
and nearly 300 will be electrocuted on the job. It is for this reason
that May is designated as: National Electrical Safety
Month.
