CITY ENGINEER

David A. Wheeler, P.E. joined the City of
Ocoee in 1996, and was appointed to his
current position of City Engineer in January
of 2005. He has previously been the
Assistant City Engineer/Utility Director and
the Director of Public Works. Mr. Wheeler is
a 1978 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic
Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Civil Engineering. He is a registered
professional engineer in Florida.
Mr. Wheeler's previous experience has been
as a consulting engineer in Florida and
Alabama with Post, Buckley, Schuh &
Jernigan, Inc. and in West Virginia with
Kelley, Gidley, Blair & Wolfe, Inc. He was
also employed by the State of West
Virginia's Department of Health in the
capacity of District Environmental Engineer.
Mr. Wheeler has planned, designed, provided
construction oversight and start up for
water treatment services as well as various
public works infrastructure projects.
He is a member of the Water Environment
Federation, the Florida Water Environmental
Association, the American Water Works
Association, the Florida Section of the
American Water Works Association, the
American Society of Civil Engineers, and the
Florida engineering Society. Mr. Wheeler is
on the Board for the Florida Section of the
American Water Works Association. |
