COMMISSIONER  HOOD
Born here in Ocoee, Commissioner Gary Hood has been associated with Ocoee for 51 years. Commissioner Hood has served on the Community Service Award Advisory Board, Recreational Advisory Board, the Commissioner Redistricting Committee, and a current member of the Community Redevelopment Agency.

Commissioner Hood has been an active member of the community for many years. Commissioner Hood has served as President for the Amber Ridge Home Owners Association, Board of Directors for Ocoee Youth Soccer Association, over 24 years involvement and past President for Ocoee Little League.  Commissioner Hood has also served as a State of Florida Assistant District Administrator for District 14 for the Little League Incorporated and involved with various athletic clubs for Ocoee and West Orange High School.

Commissioner Hood also has managed many youth teams in the community involving the Ocoee Pop Warner Football Organization, Ocoee AAU Baseball,  Central Florida Baseball League 8th Grade, Ocoee Youth Soccer Association, Ocoee and West Orange High School and Ocoee Little League Incorporated of which he is a proud member of many Regional, State, District and league Championship teams. In 1999 Commissioner Hood was a proud member of the Little League World Series Championship team in the Big League Division. In 2003, Commissioner Hood also received the City of Ocoee's Volunteer of the Year Award. 

Commissioner Hood is employed by Industrial Steel located in Titusville, Florida. He is a graduate of Clermont High School and attended Lake Sumter Community College.

Commissioner Hood and his wife Tish have been married 24 years. They have five children: Timothy, Tabitha, Terri, Greg, Joshua and 9 grandchildren.
