COMMISSIONER KELLER |
Commissioner Joel Keller has been actively involved in the
community having served on Sawmill Homeowners Association board
since its inception with the exception of one year due to other
commitments until his election to the city commission in March
of 2006.
He served on the Citizen Advisory Council for the Ocoee Police
Department January 2000-March 2006 and the Ocoee Planning and
Zoning Board from February 2002-March 2006. Along with this he
was on the West Orange/Apopka Relief Committee which helped
create the zoning for Ocoee High School. Commissioner Keller has
also been active in the schools having been Past President of
Ocoee Middle School PTA, Ocoee Middle School Advisory Council
and as Past Vice President of the West Orange High School PTSA.
Commissioner Keller is also active in St Andrew Catholic Church
where he is an usher, a lector and is on the Christ Renews His
Parish committee. He also has taught 5th and 8th grade CCD
classes as well as Confirmation training classes.
He has an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Science from
Orange County Community College in New York. Also, he attended
both SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Oswego colleges, and he employed by
Rotech Healthcare in Winter Park.
Commissioner Keller has lived in the City of Ocoee for 18 years.
He has been married to Laura for 27 years and they have two
children Christopher and Danielle.
