YOUTH PROGRAMS

Whether it's summer, spring or winter break, kids will have plenty of fun camps and programs in which to participate! We also provide a wide range of sports programs like baseball, basketball, football, soccer and swimming leagues!
Autism Classes


This program runs on Tuesday evenings from 6:15-7:15 at the Jim Beech Recreation Center located at 1820 A.D. Mims Rd. It is open to all ages and disabilities. Any family member is welcome. It is a open gym night so the kids of all ages can run, jump and play. The parents can talk and relax. The Program has expanded with SMOC- Super Moms of Orange County. We get together monthly and have breakfast with a guest speaker. We have a annual holiday party, outings, free swimming lessons, fundraisers, SMOOCH - Special Moms Of Outstanding Children with Handicaps. a special day out for our top moms including a massage, facial, ,manicure, pedicure and lunch. We are growing and the program is definitely needed!

Before & After School Program



This program is offered to city residents when school is in session at the Jim Beech Recreation Center located at 1820 A.D. Mims Rd. Parents can drop off there child/children after 6:30am and pick them up by 6:30pm. Transportation is provided to and from school. Games, arts & crafts, and school homework are just some of the activities the children will enjoy during this program.

Dance, Act and Model

Let's Dance, Act or Model! Orlando Broadway Arts is now offering classes at the Vignetti Center located at 1910 Adair St. Miss Catt is the inventor of Cardio Tap! Girls ... Guys ... Ages 3 to Teens and Adults. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!! For more information, contact "Miss Catt" at 407-399-8045.

Karate


(Isshinryu Budo-Kai) - Fulfill that new years resolution by developing strength, coordination and your confidence with Karate lessons! Sensei Paul Robinson has been instructing and motivating individuals for more than twenty-five years. Classes meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:30 PM at the Vignetti Recreation Center located at 1910 Adair St. Ages six and up welcome. Summer Fun Camp


This seasonal program is offered to city residents during the summer months when school is not in session at the Jim Beech Recreation Center located at 1820 A.D. Mims Rd. With a wide range of activities such as sports, arts & crafts, swimming, field trips and movies, this program offers children the chance to stay active and enjoy their summer in a camp environment. Gatorland, Bowling, Sandford Zoo and Wonder Works are the great field trips scheduled during summer camp. The Camp is open Monday Friday, from 6:30am 6:30pm.

Teen Dance

Ocoee Middle School students are invited to attend the Teen Dances from September through May, which is held on the first and third Friday of each month at the Jim Beech Recreation Center located at 1820 A.D. Mims Rd. Dances are from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Cost is $3 per dance; all in attendance must show their Ocoee Middle School ID prior to entering. School dress code is enforced. Food and drinks are for sale at each dance.

 
Ocoee Youth Basketball League
 
 




The Ocoee Youth Basketball League has grown from 70 participants in 2008 to 200 participants on 2010 and is now entering its fourth year. The next season of basketball will start in January 2011 and run through the end of April. Interested participants are encouraged to look through our unique basketball newsletters from last season to get their competitive juices flowing.

Youth Tennis Lessons

Taught by Jack Vinson, a professional and certified instructor. Semi-private and private lessons are available for youth and adults. Please call 407-295-6958 for more information.
