Recycling
is required by the City of Ocoee. Recycling service is
provided once a week.

Holiday

There is
NO
garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection on
the following holidays:
New Years Day
Only
Recycle runs
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day We
work the day after
Christmas Day
If the Holiday falls on a Weekend we run a normal schedule.
When to Place Out
Your Recycling Bins
Recycling bins
may be placed at the curb after 6:00 p.m. the
night before but no later than 7:00 a.m. on your
collection day. Remove emptied bins from the
curb within 12 hours after pickup.
What can be RECYCLED?

Pasteboard (i.e., cereal boxes,
empty paper towel and toilet
paper rolls, and shoe boxes)

Newspapers

Magazines

Brown paper grocery bags

Corrugated cardboard (flattened
and cut down to no larger than 3
ft. by 3 ft.)

Catalogs

Telephone books

Junk mail

Office paper

Empty aerosol cans

Aluminum and tin cans

Glass bottles and jars
-
All drink boxes and milk/juice
cartons

All plastic containers with the
#1-PETE or #2-HDPE symbol on the
bottom

Plastic bottles #3 - #7 with a

What do I do with the recyclables you don’t
take?
Plastic bags, paper bags, egg cartons, and meat
trays
can all be recycled at local grocery stores
(Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie) in recycling bin
located near the front of their stores.
Styrofoam, Bubble wrap, and any packing supplies
can be recycled at We’ve got Mail and More at 287 West Road. 407-654-2322
Ink and Toner Cartridges
can be
recycled at Staples located at
867 Good Homes Rd.
Staples will even give you a $2.00 coupon to use
at their store. They also accept some office
electronics for free, for a full list of what
they accept please visit Staples.com and look
under recycling program.
When Recycling Bins Get Full
Place your
overflow recyclable materials in brown paper
grocery bags and place them beside your
recycling bins at the curb.
How to Get Recycling
Bins
Recycling bins
are provided free of charge to City of
Ocoee
residents. Simply call the Public Works
Department at 407-905-3170. Please allow up to 5
business days for bins to be delivered.
