Solid Waste Operations
The City's Solid Waste Operation is responsible for picking
up residential household garbage, recycling, and yard waste. Your cart must be placed curbside after 7 P.M. the night before collection, but before 6 A.M. the day of collection.

Commercial Solid Waste services are handled by a contracted
hauler under a franchise agreement with the City.
Bulky Item Collection
The collection for bulky items is once per month on your
first recycle collection day. Examples of bulky
items include furniture, appliances, and mattresses. Automobile
parts and hazardous waste will not be collected with large items
or garbage.
There is no bulky item collection during the week of a
scheduled holiday. Holidays with no collection include New
Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving
Day, and Christmas Day. Bulky items may be placed at the curb
after 6:00 p.m. the night before but no later than 6:00 a.m. on
your collection day. Your first collection of each month
will be picked up at no charge.
Recyclable Materials
The following materials qualify as recyclable materials:
- Newspaper and magazines
- Plastic beverage containers
- Clear, brown and green glass
- Aluminum beverage cans
- Steel cans including (tin) food and pet food cans
