AREA SCHOOL LIST

Orange County Public Schools 2008-2009
school year began on August 18, 2008 and
children are walking to and from school.
Please obey school crossing guards' actions
and/or school crossing signs.
The Ocoee Police Department's Traffic
Unit will be running laser and radar in the
school zones the first week of school. The
heightened patrol is to make motorists aware
of children walking and riding bicycles to
and from school. The speed limit in
all school zones is 20mph. The
Traffic Unit will also look for motorists
violating the actions of school crossing
guards. Anyone caught speeding in a school
zone will be ticketed and the fines
are doubled.
Children under 16 years of age riding
bicycles to and from school will need to
have an
approved helmet securely attached to
their heads while riding a bicycle. Ocoee
Police will be looking for violators of the
helmet law as well as speeders.
