Citizen Police Academy Class 13
This program is
- Eight weeks (32 hour program); Classes will meet on (8) eight
evenings in the Commission Chambers.
- Taught by Police Officers or Industry Experts
- Funded by donations
- Free to residents
- Participants eligible for one ride-along with an officer on normal patrol
- View / Participate in firearm demonstration
To be eligible
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have no criminal record that would prevent being hired by a police department.
- Preference will be given to residents, but those who work in, or for, the city can fill available seats.
- Must sign a Release & Waiver
- Class size is limited

Next Citizen Police Academy class begins February 3,
2010 and runs for 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings in the
Commission Chambers of Ocoee City Hall.
In order to become a volunteer for the Ocoee Police Department, volunteers will
need to take the Citizen Police Academy class. The class
instructors are Ocoee Police Officers. The class will
discuss crime prevention, defensive tactics and more.
