DEPUTY CHIEF STEVEN J. GOCLON
Deputy Chief Steven J. Goclon graduated from the police academy in 1981. He is a graduate of Valencia Community College with an Associates of Science in Criminal Justice, the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute "Command Officer Development Course", and the West Orange Chamber of Commerce "Leadership West Orange" program. He is continuing coursework at Columbia College.

He started as a reserve officer with the Ocoee Police Department in 1982 and became a full time officer in 1983. During his years of service, he has worked as a road officer, a detective, a corporal, a patrol sergeant, an administrative sergeant, a patrol lieutenant, and an administrative lieutenant prior to becoming Police Chief in 2002. Deputy Chief Goclon has served as the department's first Deputy Chief of Police since June 5, 2006 and in that capacity he oversees the Administrative Services Division of the Police Department.

Deputy Chief Goclon is a current member of the Florida Police Chiefs' Association, the Orange County Substance Abuse Police Board Evaluation Committee, the Valencia Community College Criminal Justice Institute Advisory Committee, and Orange County's Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee. He also serves as the staff liaison for the City of Ocoee Safety Spring Fling Committee.
