Human Relations Diversity Board Meeting

Objective to promote understanding, respect, goodwill, and equality among all citizens and businesses of the City of Ocoee.
HRDB Meetings
The Human Relations Diversity meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month and start at 6:15 p.m.

City Hall is open to the public; however, attendance inside the Ocoee Commission Chambers may be limited to accommodate social distancing and is subject to the Governor’s Executive Orders. Anyone entering City Hall must wear a protective face covering. Any interested party may be heard at designated times during the meeting pursuant to the rules of such board. Comments and questions received via email citizens@ocoee.org will become public records and printed out and provided to the members of the board in advance of the meeting.

Objectives

The Human Relations Diversity Board's objective is to promote understanding, respect, goodwill, and equality among all citizens and businesses of the City of Ocoee. The HRDB sponsors the city’s Black History Month Essay Contest and the Celebrating Diversity Art Contest.

Members

The Board consists of 7 to 13 voting members who serve for a three-year term and may be reappointed as stated in Resolution 2016-009 (PDF). Residence in the city limits is not required for appointment. The Board also includes two non-voting members, who are typically the Community Relations Manager and a city commissioner. Applications for committee membership may be acquired online (PDF) or in person from the City Clerk.
