Spring is on its way, and so are thousands of candy-filled Easter eggs arriving at the city’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 26. The festivities will run from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Jim Beech Recreation Center, 1820 A.D. Mims Road. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. and admission is free.

The Easter Bunny will hop over to take photos and children will enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, and inflatables. Snacks will be available for purchase. The event is open to children 12 years old and younger. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the West Orange Christian Service Center.

In conjunction with the Easter Eggstravaganza, the City of Ocoee’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is
sponsoring a Coloring Contest for children ages 12 and younger. Prizes will be awarded in every age group. Children should use only crayons and markers. Judges encourage children to use their creativity. Coloring sheets may be picked up at the Jim Beech Recreation Center. The deadline to submit coloring sheets is Monday, March 21 at 6:00 p.m.
